Great solution for small spaces, January 2, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Istikbal 61-ALI-10020-001 Alize Hi-Riser Pop Up Bed (Kitchen) I can't count how much time and money I've spent on guest beds over the years. Our spare room is very small and set up primarily for sewing. In an effort to equip it for overnight guests without moving out all the sewing stuff, I've purchased, then given away, bunk beds, a queen-sized Aero bed, two twin air mattresses, and a conventional queen-sized mattress with frame. Nothing worked. The bunkbeds and air beds saved space but weren't comfortable for more than a night, especially for adult sleepers. The queen bed hogged up every extra inch of floor space and there was no way to get it out of the way when we didn't have guests. I finally decided to look for a bed with trundle, even though it was a pretty hefty expenditure compared to my previous purchases. I had four requirements. 1.) At least one bed had to be a twin xl size (my daughter is 6' tall). 2.) The lower bed had to pop up to regular height (most adults don't care to sleep at floor level). 3.) Horrible "free" shipping., May 4, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Istikbal 61-ALI-10020-001 Alize Hi-Riser Pop Up Bed (Kitchen) The Amazon information and the shipper, A. Duie Pyle, neglected at any time before the actual delivery to make it clear that shipping would only be free TO THE CURB.
In fact, here is the language printed on the invoice given to me when the truck arrived: "If liftgate service is performed at time of delivery, Driver collect $55.00. If inside delivery is performed at time of delivery, driver collect $30.00."
It turns out that delivering inside can happen only if there are two people in the truck. But since there was one person making the delivery in my case, that option was NOT EVEN AVAILABLE. So the delivery man left and it was physically hard to push the mattresses up through our garage to the second floor bedroom by myself.
The shipper, furthermore, would not wait for inspection, even though I observed that the pallet was undersized and broken. The paper and plastic packaging turned out to be torn, so that the fabric on the frame became soiled in... Read more

Great Bed, March 30, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Istikbal 61-ALI-10020-001 Alize Hi-Riser Pop Up Bed (Kitchen) Very nice and firm trundle bed! The trundle is easy to pull out and pop up. It's also easy to lower it with the lever and slide under the bed. The only drawback is that it is very hard to move the bed, pushing from top or bottom, with the trundle underneath it. Moving the bed sideways is not problem.
